Porte-Bonheur is a non-profit organisation which has been helping orphans in Switzerland for over 30 years. Porte-Bonheur partners with the social services of the State, the wards’ chambers, the child protection office and has concluded a partnership with As’trame, an association which accompanies families affected by bereavement, parental separation, serious illness or the psychological fragility of a parent.
The association does not pay any money directly to the children or to third parties.
In the context of the health crisis caused by Covid-19, the annual fundraising events had to be cancelled and many contributors were unable to respond to the appeal for donations. The Primat Foundation and the Harold Primat Sheltered Fund have decided to make a contribution that will allow the association to continue its activities, with a particular focus on educational assistance.
The association’s action is based on voluntary work and supports an average of one hundred children and teenagers as well as twenty or so young adults by paying for travel expenses linked to the pursuit of their studies, school fees and enrolment fees not covered by traditional grants, extra-curricular outings, moving house, various legal aids, birthday gifts, etc.
- meeting the specific needs of eligible children, adolescents and young adults by providing active listening, organising material, financial and legal aid for the benefit of orphans and also doing everything possible to make a dream come true, in memory of their missing parents.
Porte-Bonheur provides advice, support, material, financial and legal aid to orphans and helps them to make their dreams come true.
