The Oak Tree, a film to reconnect with nature

The Primat Foundation is proud to announce the release in theatres on February 23, 2022 of the film, The Oak, directed by Laurent Charbonnier and Michel Seydoux. Four years of work and a year and a half of shooting were necessary to make this ambitious film and to make the general public discover the wonderful story of an oak tree, told through the life of the animals that inhabit it; an ode to life and biodiversity. A film of poetry, action and emotion without voice-over.

An educational and awareness-raising strategy in schools

A true immersion in the forest, the film counts among its partners the National Museum of Natural History  (MNHN) and the National Forests Office (ONF) which, thanks to the financial support of the Primat Foundation, have developed a free educational kit that will be distributed to 35,510 schools in mainland France from November 30, 2021.

The release of the film will be accompanied by a campaign to raise awareness of environmental conservation among young people.

To ensure the sustainability of this project, environmental education operations will be organised in France for schoolchildren with the National Forets Office.
