CONTEXT
The overconsumption of our planet’s resources and the resulting waste production are major environmental challenges. Switzerland is one of the highest waste-producing countries in Europe, and there is currently no nationwide education for sustainable development programme in primary schools.

- Raise students’ awareness of sustainable lifestyles and zero waste practices.
- Involve schools in a concrete effort to reduce their environmental footprint.
- Reach families through children to encourage behaviour change at home.

The association offers four levels of engagement:

- In-class workshops over a school term: led by the association’s facilitators.
- Full or light support programme: 6 to 9 months of in-school activities, including 13 ready-to-use key activities provided in an educational toolkit; teacher training; creation of a “green team.”
