Context
Horses have long been cherished companions to humans. Sadly, when they grow old or no longer meet their owners’ needs, they are too often abandoned or sent to slaughter.
Objectives
- Protect mistreated or abandoned equines, including horses and donkeys
- Raise public awareness about the mistreatment of these animals
Actions
- Provide shelter each year for around forty seized horses and donkeys
- Rescue and care for abused equines
- Place horses in foster homes under contract or in boarding facilities
- Offer programs for adults and children to promote awareness of horse protection
