The Périgord-Limousin region is facing major environmental challenges, including climate change, accelerated biodiversity loss, and increasing pressure on natural resources.

An annual festival held in March, structured as a series of community encounters featuring:
- Film screenings followed by discussions for primary school students
- Public lectures
- Outdoor lecture-walks
- Film debates (ciné-débat)
Founded in 1994, the CPIE Périgord-Limousin is an association that places people at the heart of its environmental mission. Like all Permanent Environmental Initiative Centres (CPIE), it operates within its region by combining solid scientific foundations with a strong commitment to civic engagement.
Its work focuses on two key pillars of sustainable development: environmental education and awareness for all audiences, and support for local stakeholders and public authorities in implementing their policies and territorial projects.
