The new 2024 selections have arrived. They were put together by the Felipé reading committee from an increasingly abundant crop of publications. 125 books (all published in 2023) have been received, submitted by 52 different publishing houses.
Their common thread: talking to young readers about ecology, the environment, and the living world.
The jury, tasked with choosing the six books in each selection, is made up of children aged 7 to 12 — nearly 500 of them this year, from all across France — who will read, discuss, and form their own opinions. Meetings with publishers, authors, and illustrators, as well as artistic creation workshops, will be organized in various schools over the coming months. The children will vote at the end of the school year and award the prize to the winners of each selection: Graines de lecteurs (Budding Readers) and Lecteurs en herbe (Young Readers).
