Context

Natural areas host many economic and recreational activities that can interact with wildlife. Good cohabitation between humans and wildlife requires a harmonious sharing of the territory and resources, so that biodiversity can flourish while allowing the smooth running of human activities. This issue of coexistence arises particularly in Switzerland, France and Spain.

Objectives
  • Support projects promoting shared and harmonious management of the territory.
Actions
  • Support projects to put forward innovative proposals and concrete recommendations for improving the relationship between large wildlife and land management.
  • Bring together local stakeholders from nature conservation, agriculture, tourism, livestock farming, hunting and administration.
  • Propose field actions aimed at preventing or mitigating conflicts between wildlife and human activities, actions to improve knowledge of species, awareness-raising and promotion of agricultural production, as well as cultural, sports or ecotourism activities related to wildlife
