Symposium “Improving the welfare of farm animals through the release of information”

Organised in conjunction with MP Loïc Dombreval, this first symposium by the Ensemble pour les Animaux association, a Didier and Martine Primat Foundation partner, took place at the Palais Bourbon on 28 June last year.

The event enabled many stakeholders concerned about the welfare of farm animals to engage in discussion with a view to developing solutions that could improve the living conditions, transport and slaughter of animals, freedom of information around these conditions, and better pay for livestock farmers worldwide. The symposium started with a presentation of various projects aimed at animal wellbeing and freedom of information, and was followed by a roundtable discussion. Both parts also involved input from the audience.

The event closed with remarks from Mr Nicolas Hulot, Minister for Ecological and Sustainable Transition, and a reception where delegates were able to engage in friendly discussion.
