In the wake of his nomination,\u00a0 he began working with is residency scientific partner, Professor Craig Martin, a world specialist of wind and thermal phenomena. A<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">s part of the adaptation to the Covid-19<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">epidemic<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">, t<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">heir <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">discussions<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> started in a\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">virtual<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\"> mode and will be followed by an in situ residency as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>An American national and MIT graduate in art, culture and technology,\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Hasseb<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">is now based in Brussels. Used to work in collaboration, he <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">combines approaches from the hard sciences in his artistic production, which consists in the creation\u00a0 of objects, installations, films and writings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>During the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria last September Hasseb gave <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ehrmCGR46H0\">an interview<\/a> to Ariane Koek the curator of the Earth Water Sky residency, providing an in-depth insight into his work.<\/p>\n<p>On October 6, 2020, Haseeb will also be in conversation with the previous winner of the &#8220;Earth Water Sky&#8221; residency Emma Critchley and their exchange will be available on <a href=\"https:\/\/venice.sciencegallery.com\/events\">this link<\/a> on the website Science Gallery Venice.<\/p>\n<p>Haseeb Ahmed has several exhibitions opening this year at RIB in Rotterdam, Netherlands, MuhKA in Antwerp and Kunstenhuis in Harelbeke, Belgium and in Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HASEEB AHMED is the second winner of the &#8220;Earth Water Sky&#8221; residency at the Science Gallery of Venice.
